Malkin (das ist der Hellseher!) tells Eko that he was paid $16,000 by a couple in Los Angeles to convince a pregnant girl to board a plane.

Schock.

new 09/28 - [Producers told Yunjin Kim that we wouldn't know until the series finale who the father of her baby is.] The real name of Henry Gale is revealed - as is the identify of his past love. Source: TV Guide [Note: Some fans believe Henry's name is "Ben" as Kristin from E! refered to him with this name in chat and when her chat transcript went live, it read "Henry".]

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness.
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Mysteries of 'Lost'
Those “Lost” writer-producers are a secretive bunch. How difficult could it be to give a hint about to expect next season? Apparently, very. A little digging, however, turned up some clues on the gripping ABC drama.

SPOILERS

Who are the Others?

They’re creepy, wear fake beards and have captured Kate, Jack and Sawyer. Are they “the good guys,” as one high-ranking Other said, or are they up to no good? Finally — finally! — that enigma will be addressed this season, producers have teased. They better deliver. Also, expect to see much more of bug-eyed Other/hatch escapee Henry Gale, played by new series regular Michael Emerson.

Who will Kate fall for?

It’s about time, Kate. The freckled tough girl (Evangeline Lilly) will finally make a choice between doctor-leader Jack (Matthew Fox) and con man Sawyer (Josh Holloway). Early intel suggests Cupid’s arrow is pointing at a Kate-Sawyer hookup — they ARE a couple of good-lookin’ outlaws. Why that coupling? According to an ABC press release, “Romance looms on the horizon as Jack’s interests veer towards a mysterious woman, whose motives may be questionable.”

Why was Locke in a wheelchair?

John Locke (Terry O’Quinn) lost of a bit of his faith last season, thanks to his frustration with entering that numbered sequence (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) on the keyboard every 108 minutes. Still, he can’t deny the island’s mysterious healing powers, which apparently cured his four-year paralysis and allowed him to walk again after Oceanic flight 815 crash-landed. Those powers — and why exactly Locke was bound to a wheelchair in the first place — will be explored this season, “Lost” experts say. One theory: Locke, who helped his deadbeat father withdraw stolen money from a bank, was handicapped by angry victims of the crime.

Who is the father of Sun's baby?

Pre-crash, a doctor said Sun’s loving husband, Jin (Daniel Dae Kim), was infertile. There are three possible explanations for Sun’s pregnancy: The island healed Jin’s infertility (worked for Locke, leg-wise); the zygote formed inside Sun (YunJin Kim) but is neither hers nor Jin’s (creepy!); or Jin is not the baby-daddy. That guy could be Jae Lee, who gave Sun secret English lessons. She was unhappy in her marriage, and planned to leave Jin and go to America.

What happened at the hatch?

In the season 2 finale, Locke, Mr. Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) were all in the hatch when Desmond turned the fail-safe key to diffuse whatever electromagnetic energy was quaking the island (yes, that button-pushing chore actually meant something). An explosion ensued. The hatch door landed on the beach. Survival seems like a long shot — but Eko and Locke are under contract. And Cusick is now a series regular. They gotta come out of this alive, if not somewhat — somehow — changed. Plus, ABC says Locke will team up with Sayid (Naveen Andrews) and others to try and rescue their comrades.

Did Walt and Michael escape?

The father-son duo, given a motor boat by Henry Gale, were last seen fleeing the island to destinations unknown. Desperate dad Michael (Harold Perrineau) betrayed his friends to save himself and his son, Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), who was kidnapped at the end of the first season by the Others. But don’t be surprised if they return — those “Lost”-ies aren’t the luckiest group. Note that Perrineau is not a regular cast member this season, but could be back as a guest star. And Walt is way too intriguing to make a permanent getaway.

What is Dharma doing with the kids?

The Others snatched Walt, Frenchwoman Rousseau’s daughter, Alex, and a very pregnant Claire (Emilie de Ravin). In memories of her abduction, Claire was taken to a hospital-like hatch and given a shot in the belly. A teen girl, who might be a grown-up Alex, warned her that higher-ups planned to kill her and take her baby. That’s pretty freaky, and so is another theory: That the Others — those “good guys,” remember? — are a social utopian experiment by the scientist-led Dharma Initiative. This could explain why they steal innocent children who haven’t been tainted by society.

Who is Libby?

Michael shot and killed her last season, but viewers haven’t seen the last of Libby (Cynthia Watros). She’ll keep appearing in characters’ flashbacks, producers said, yet her back story — she claimed to be a clinical psychologist and was supposedly among the plane’s tail-section survivors — is shrouded in mystery. In flashbacks, it was revealed that she lived in the same mental hospital as an unknowing Hurley (Jorge Garcia) and gave Desmond her late husband’s doomed sailboat. Fan speculation has it that she might be a member of the Hanso Foundation, which funded the shady Dharma Initiative, or a private detective.

Is Claire Jack's half-sister?

That’s the buzz — and it appears to be so. After losing his medical license for operating while drunk, Christian (Jack’s surgeon-father, played by John Terry) fled to Australia, where he drank himself to death after attempting to visit his secret daughter. It went down like this: He showed up at the house of a curly-haired, blonde Aussie — Claire’s lookalike mother? — and boozily demanded to see the girl. The woman refused. Jack arrived Down Under to bring Christian’s body back to the U.S. and, in a made-for-television twist, wound up on the same ill-fated flight as Claire.

Can the show keep it up?

As many fans complain, “Lost” is more about the questions than the answers. It’s confusing and captivating. At least some things were (sorta) cleared up in the finale of the dark and hatch-centric second season, which runneth over with sci-fi mysteries that had viewers scratching their heads. Thankfully, the Powers That Be heard the fan feedback — and they’re doing something about it. In a recent podcast posted on the show’s Web site, a producer revealed he was influenced by complaints that season 2 was “too mythologically dense.” Expect to see a lot about relationships in future episodes, including a dose of much-needed romance.

True or False? Foiler or Spoiler? Here is the first review from someone who claims "extremely privlidged access" to the LOST production quarters.

"Hey Doc! Call me 'Super-Sock'. We had a small party and under threats of death if any details are leaked, we were allowed to watch a "Work Print" of "Tale of Two Cities". First the overall impression. I know alot of people are saying that they will drag out the reveal of who the others are and what they are doing, I was stunned by how much was revealed. It wasn't 100% but you will know, roughly, what they do and how long they have been at the 'island'. I quote that because, honestly, I'm not so sure it is an island. There was a lot of unfinished effects work in the print we watched but it was clear they wanted to give it the look of an artificial land mass. But on a scale that no human could ever build. The episode is mind game after mind game. First you think their free, then their captive, then their free again. The "others" idea of testing is seeing how they will react in different situations. In the end of it, Fenry makes Jack an offer which will just blow your mind, but it looks like another test. It ends with Hurley finding Desmond naked in the Jungle. There are some very cool things shown, there is a connection between Sarah and Locke, there are definite signs in the flashback that there were forces at work pushing Jack, at least, towards his encounter with a predetermined destiny. Jack is definitely left in a very strange headspace. There was no music and the effects were only partially done but it seemed like there was a LOT of CGI. Oh, and at one point you definitely hear the monster in the others habitat. There is no doubt he is "one of them". '

Waikiki-Spoiler:

jay:

It was pretty good. Most of the stars came by so it was easy to get good pictures. Locke seemed really nice, he even took a guys cell phone to talk to his girlfriend. Unfortunately they had to rush some of them so that they could start the show.

In the show itself we see where the others live (nice little community). We see some more of Jack's past and dealing with his divorce. Jack, freckles, and sawyer are all locked up in seperate cells away from each other.

Jack is locked up in an aquarium that used to hold sharks and dolphins. He talks with a new blonde woman for most of the episode. She has a file that basically contains everything about him.

This episode has Jack, Henry, Sawyer and Kate. Also a couple of others and a Jack flashback

Kate is made to wear a dress and then she goes for breakfast on the beach with Henry. Later she is locked up in a polar bear cage near Sawyer and she seems shaken up. Also, her wrists are cut up a bit from the handcuffs she was wearing. This is odd because as far as we know she just has a nice breakfast on the beach.

Hurley is not in the premiere.

Sawyer spends the episode trying to get food. His cage is set up so that he has to push a sequence of levers to get food. When he does it right he is rewarded with bear food.

The first few minutes is in the others community. The others are discussing a book that they read and then all of a sudden ther is a rumbling and they all run outside. We then see the plane breaking apart in the sky and Henry sends two guys out to infiltrate the losties.

"I guess Ethan and Goodwin. They are on the guest star list of ep1. ??"
-> correct

There is a really limited cast in this episode.

In the flashbacks Jack is trying to deal with his divorce. He demands to know who his ex is seeing and will not drop the subject. Eventually he thinks that it was his father that she left him for. At one point he attacks his Dad.

[klingt wohl eher unglaubwürdig]

Saturnine
Ok first, it's not reallya skate scene but ... when kate was brought to Ferny ( his real name is ben ) she tells to hime where is Sawyer and jack ( at this point I was very exicited and I said WHOOA she said sawyr before jack ) the Ferny ask her Why first sawyer ?? Whi him first and the jack ?

The 'sweet renunion' uhmmm.... I was explecting something more... she walks towards him, then the others locked her in the cage, sawyer and kate looking eachother, worried. The when the are alone he said to her ' you look pretty in that dress ' or it was nice dress... she reply a sorta ( i don't get weel but she said ' you made me were...[' but it's no sense can It be a ' you made me blush ??

The he ask to her if she's hungry she nodded and sawyer trough to her a kind of fish..

uhmmm definaly I expected more from that scene, but yeah cute

HaleiwaDiva
OMG!!! The first 5 minutes will blow your minds!

Starts off with an eye...then we she a blonde woman we have not seen before. She is in a house and she runs to the oven because she notices her muffins are burning. She opens the door burns her hand on the muffin tin and drops the muffins all over the floor. The doorbell rings and it's her mom come to visit her.

The next sceen we see her living room with a group of people sitting around. It's a book club of some sort and they are discussing a Steven King book ( kinda arguing about the book actually).

Suddenly there is an earthquake...everyone runs to get in the doorways. The earthquake stops and everyone runs outside. We see other neighbors outside too, everyone is checking on each other.

Fenry runs out of his house and everyone looks in the sky to see a plane flying overhead. Suddenly the plane breaks into 3 pieces! Fenry says they neeed to go find the survivors!!!

We see Ethan and Fenry tells him to hurry and infiltrate himself with the survivors, prentend he is one of them.

JestaThought

Well, I just got back from the season 3 premiere on Waikiki. There must have been several thousand people there. The whole cast was there, and they were all introduced onstage, and two new cast members, too. It was an odd episode, and my sister and I were both a little disappointed. There was some focus on the Others, and how they live. Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were in it, but not Hurley, Sayid, Jin or Sun, or anyone else. It was mostly about Jack in terms of the flashbacks. Someone else will give a summary, I'm sure. I am just too tired!

chick

Spoiler: Jack flash back mostly focuses on him & his soon to be ex-wife. Jack suspects his dad might be having an affair with her. He is obsessively trying to find out who the guy is that she is leaving him for.

Jack flash back mostly focuses on him & his soon to be ex-wife. Jack suspects his dad might be having an affair with her. He is obsessively trying to find out who the guy is that she is leaving him for.

Kate is in an indoor area and Zeke is in the room when she wakes up. He tells her to take a shower. When she finishes her shower he clothes are gone. All that's left for her is a sundress the locker says "wear this". Then Zeke escorts her to the beach where Fenry is waiting with a full on breakfast set up. He makes her put on handcuffs and tells her to eat because the next 2 weeks are going to be very difficult.

lost tv.com
Jack is in an underwater hatch. He tries to escape and floods the place but is recaptured. The blonde woman from the beginning of the show messes with his head and ends up making him obey her.

Sawyer is in an animal cage like at a zoo. In the cage across from him is another guy who actually escapes and breaks Sawyer out as well. They are both captured. Kate ends up in the cage once occupied by the guy who trued to escape.

phoenix

No desmond this ep, sorry...though he was on stage

I think all of them were having their heads messed with.

Also, IMHO the males, Jack and Sawyer were the most likely to remain aggressive and attempt escape. They were both allowed to make escape attempts which failed. Kate was told by Ben (Not Henry) that he wanted her to have a pleasant memory to hold on to, the next two weeks would be unpleasant. Thats why the nice dress, the sit down civilized meal, etc.

deelee
Yeah, I guess I am lazy, and I also don't remember every detail well enough to write a summary. The first 5 minutes were the best part. Most of the show took place in cages, with Sawyer and some guy trying to escape, and an underwater station called Hydro- (something.) Jack was locked up in a cell in the station, and Juliet kept wanting to give him food--she wanted him to step away from the cell door, so she could pass him some food and water, but he refused. Finally he gave in. Juliet also had a book about Jack, with details about his entire life--where he went to med school, details about his marriage to Sara. She also knew that Jack's father had died, and she said she had the autopsy report of his death. It was at that point that Jack kind of backed up and stood with his back to the wall of the cell (as Juliet had requested.)

dharmasecrets

"the first 5 minuetes was awasome. it starts with a book club meeting in an ordinary town, then there is an earthquake(from the hatch) and everyone runs outside. you see henry gale, ethan, and the others come outside in ordinary clothes in an ordinary town. then you see flight 815 overhead cracked in two on its was down. henry gathers his troop and directs ethan to pretend he is a survivor and make a list within three days. he directs the others to do something else (i forgot, not important). then the camera zooms out and you can see that this ordinary civilized town is on the island! the island is way bigger than we thought. the camera shows us that right on the other side of the mountain next to our caracters beach is the others little town . like a little paradise in the middle of a desert.. that was the most exciting part of the episde. it was extremely confusing at first than it was like wow!! ask away any other questions"

DA FRIERT MIR WIRKLICH DAS GEHIRN EIN!!!

kiss-o-matic
I thought the first bit was fantastic, with the others living in their Brady Bunch style neighborhood, hidden on the island. I really didn't see it coming, and it adds a new dynamic to the Others, including some hints that Ben has a past with Juliette.

The Jack-based flashbacks were very good. They show a new side to Jack (a borderline stalker one). The scenes with Jack and Juliette were also great. The scenes with Sawyer, were mildly entertaining, but didn't add much for now (I'm sure the escapee will turn up later). The scene with Ben & Kate on the beach I also found a bit much, but I guess it was used to tell us that our three friends are in for some nastiness ahead.\

All in all, it was more setup than delivery. I'm sure within the next 4 episodes we'll have more details. The screen said the event was from 4:00 to 10:00. Since the episode started at 7:30, I was sure it would be a double. I was wrong. THey played the premiere of "The Nine" right after, which only a mere 25% watched. Anyways, my main beef w/ the episode is that only Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are in it. I was really more interested to find out what happens to Locke, Desmond, and Eko.
